3 Ingredient Nutella Recipes

Save Recipe

Hi Bold Bakers!

Let’s talk about Nutella! Nutella has quickly become one of the most popular flavors and ingredients around the world and for good reason. For those of you who have never tasted it before it’s a delicious dessert spread. The flavor is the perfect balance of chocolate and hazelnut, and the texture is silky smooth. While it’s super yummy all on its own, it’s so much fun to bake with. And you can even make it with my Homemade Nutella recipe.

Since Nutella provides so much flavor and texture it is the perfect base for super simple baked good and treats. With that in mind I’ve created three 3 ingredient Nutella recipes all including the magic stuff. You will be amazed by how versatile it is.

Believe me it is possible to create 3 totally different desserts with just flour, eggs, nutella and oreo cookies. These are all ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen but I bet you’ve never used them like this before.

I combine oreo cookies, nutella and melted chocolate to make super rich Nutella Truffles. A bit of flour, eggs and Nutella make perfectly fudgy Nutella Brownies, complete with a crackly top and chewy center. And lastly I even created a recipe for moist and chewy Nutella Cookies with the most basic ingredients that you probably already have to hand.

Whether you’re a beginner or a pro I know you’ll love all three of these recipes because you really can’t go wrong with Nutella!

    Hi Gemma,

What is the proper setting in microwave oven, temp and how many minutes for baking the brownies? Thanks.

    • Gemma Stafford on April 11, 2018 at 11:19 am

      Hi there,
This recipe is not designed to be baked in the microwave. That is not to say it cannot work, but I have not tried it, and do not know how it would work out.
( here is the mug recipe, this will give you the idea,
      Gemma 🙂

  3. Winter Lily on December 3, 2017 at 2:02 am

So nice! A creative way to use nutella. Can I use other chocolate spreads or does it have to be nutella? Thanks!

  4. Wow on November 6, 2017 at 6:52 am

Did you seriously just call nutella a dessert spread?! You do realize its meant to be a spread for bread.. the same way that peanut butter and or jelly is made for bread.

    • Gemma Stafford on November 7, 2017 at 3:08 am

    Hi Gemma,
Thanks for these quick and easy recipes..just what I needed to keep my budding baker boy happy during the summer holidays..!! We made the truffles using bourbon biscuits and plain chocolate spread as my boys are not big fans of Oreo’s or Nutella :(…!! They tasted so yummy..I would of posted some pic’s but once they had set they dissppeared pretty quickly when my sons friends came over to Am going to buy a jar of Nutella and make some for my partner and I when the kids have gone to bed..!! 🙂
Thanks again for sharing your wonderful recipes..I look forward to my emails with lots more wonderful recipes.
    Emma .x.

  8. Mary on July 30, 2017 at 10:27 am

Hey Gemma, I want to make a nutella mug cake but my microwave stopped working and I only have my oven/stove. If I wanted to bake my mug cake in a oven what timing should I put for?

    • Gemma Stafford on July 31, 2017 at 2:12 am

      Hi Mary,
Bake in the oven at 180C, much the same as the Nutella recipes here. Keep an eye on it, when it is firm to the touch it is baked. I would use a muffin pan when baking in the oven!
      Gemma 🙂

      Hi there,
I am happy that you are with us, and thank you for your kind comments and support.
I am happy that you are baking with us. you can substitute the sugars in many recipes, but you need to choose one according to your need.
If you have a health need then a replacement low in fructose may be best for you, stevia is a great on for liquids, but not for every recipe. Check out the chart here ( this is a start! you can do further research into these. I will also add this to my to do list, see what we can come up with,
      Gemma 🙂
      I will also

Hey Gemma. I just love to see what you’re up to.

    • Gemma Stafford on July 28, 2017 at 12:46 am

      Hi Dee,
Cream cheese is a completely different thing to Nutella. It will not be a good substitute in these recipes, sorry,
      Gemma 🙂

  14. Tippy Mueller on July 27, 2017 at 9:13 am

    Hi Gemma,

With al due respect to the soft cookie lovers, I am a crispy cookie lover. Give me a cookie with a nice snap and crunch and I’m in heaven. Any suggestions to get a crispy cookie? Especially with Nutella?

    • Gemma Stafford on July 27, 2017 at 1:31 pm

      Hi Tippy,
I get that! this is how cookies/biscuits are in Ireland too. You will need to change the ingredients a little.
Use white sugar rather than brown. Use butter, not oil, or a spread. Leave out eggs, and use all purpose flour.
Get the proportions right too. ( take a peek at this recipe, it will give you the idea,
      Gemma 🙂
