Homemade White Hot Chocolate Recipe

Mix up a batch of my White Hot Chocolate recipe for an undeniably gorgeous warm & white festive drink that will satiate your holidays!

  • 4 cups (32floz/960ml) whole milk
  • 1 ⅓ cups (8oz/225g) good quality white chocolate bar (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • teaspoon salt
  1. Place the milk and white chocolate in a medium saucepan. Whisk over medium-low heat, until the chocolate has melted and the mixture starts to come to a simmer.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the water and cornflour until smooth. While whisking, drizzle it into the hot chocolate mixture and allow to simmer for 2 minutes or so to thicken the mix.

  3. Once thickened slightly, remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and salt. Serve immediately while hot with some whipped cream and chocolate shaving on top.
