Kick your hot chocolate up a notch with my Holiday-Essential Bailey's Hot Chocolate recipe — for adults only!

Ingredients
  • 1 ⅓ cups (8oz/225g) bittersweet chocolate (72% cocoa solids) (chopped)
  • 3 ½ cups (28floz/840ml) whole milk
  • ½ cup (4floz/120ml) cream
  • ¾ cup (6floz/180ml) Bailey's Irish cream
Instructions
  1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan bring the chopped chocolate, milk, and cream to a gentle simmer. As it starts to bubble whisk it and watch it thicken.

  2. Once the chocolate has melted, pull it off the heat and stir in the Bailey's Irish cream. Taste. If you would like t a little more Bailey's add it in.

  3. Serve hot with frozen whipped cream or marshmallows.
