My Apple Cobbler with Cake Mix is an easy 3-ingredient dessert with juicy apples and a buttery topping—quick, comforting, and full of flavor.

Servings: 6 people
Author: Gemma Stafford
Ingredients
  • 6 medium Granny Smith apples (about 2 ½ lbs/560g)
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup (4 oz/115 g) butter, melted
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and set aside a 9-inch round baking dish.
  2. Peel, core and dice the apples into ½ inch (12 mm) pieces, then add to the baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix with the melted butter until it clumps together. Crumble this evenly over the apples.

  4. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the apples are bubbling thickly. (If the crust begins to brown before the apples are soft and bubbling, cover with a piece of foil until baking is done.)
  5. Allow the cobbler to sit for about 10 minutes before serving while still warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
  6. Store leftovers covered and in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, microwave briefly.
