Hi Bold Bakers!
While I always love to make sophisticated and over-the-top baked goods, there’s something fun about whipping up a simple treat with a nostalgic flavor like my Banana Pudding Milkshake.
Milkshakes are one of my favorite easy desserts. My milkshakes are nothing short of bold and rich, and are often made by getting creative in the kitchen and combining ingredients I have in my cupboard. This is a great way to use up bits of cookies, leftover fruit and ice cream. Since I always keep a batch of my 2 Ingredient Vanilla Ice Cream on hand, I use that as my base and add my favorite flavorings to make amazing concoctions!
At the end of the week, I often have bits of leftover fruits and veg. Because I try not to waste anything, I love to think of ways to use these bits and bobs. One thing I almost always end up with are super ripe bananas. Just before I think they might be done ripening, I pop them in the freezer to save them. When I was creating these Top 5 Homemade Milkshake Flavor recipes, I knew I wanted to do something with frozen bananas, as I always have some on hand. Thus, my Banana Pudding Milkshake was born!
This Banana Pudding Milkshake is the ultimate fun, summer treat. It’s sure to be a favorite amongst kids and adults since this milkshake combines rich vanilla ice cream, sweet frozen bananas and vanilla wafers. After a quick blend, I top this Banana Pudding Milkshake with whipped cream, freshly sliced bananas, and vanilla wafer crumbs. Because of the frozen bananas, this milkshake is super thick, but also sweet and decadent. Packed full of cookies and topped with cream, it just doesn’t get much better than this!
If you’re a banana pudding fan, you must give this a try. You’re just a few ingredients away from a crowd pleasing dessert, prefect for parties or an afternoon treat!
