  2. Shilpa on October 4, 2018 at 1:28 pm

I Gemma, I tried the cake ice cream and it was amazing.

Also for Russian piping , my whipped cream gets thin very quickly… please advice

    • Gemma Stafford on October 5, 2018 at 2:59 am

      Hi Shilpa,
Thank you for your kind words.
Whipping cream is not great for frosting, it will not keep its’ shape when used with small piping nozzles. I think this is your issue. Use a large nozzle for best results.
Buttercream is better for this type of nozzle. That will be the solution,
      Gemma 🙂

  5. SmritiJhamb on April 3, 2018 at 1:59 am

    Hi Gemma
In the ingredients of mint chocolate chip milkshake, it is written 2 cups or 4 scoops of ice cream where as in the ingredients of other milkshakes, it is written 1 cup or 4 scoops of ice cream.
So, is that 2 cup a typo?

Thanks for such amazing recipes. I tried banana caramel and oreo shake. They turned out great. Now going to try all of them.

    • Gemma Stafford on April 3, 2018 at 2:16 am

      Hi Smriti,
I will go back to this and check it out, thank you for bringing it to my attention. The 1 cup looks right to me, I will take a look.
Good for you, I am happy that you are using the recipes,
      Gemma 🙂

  6. Nurul Aimi Ifhami on February 22, 2018 at 1:39 pm

Hi Gemma, can you make strawberry chocolate chip milkshake?

  7. Mareeha on February 17, 2018 at 7:53 pm

Can i subsitute the cream cheese with 1 banana because I want to make it more like banana split but in a milkshake form. The banana split recipe on the website is for a frappuccino but I want it in a milkshake

    • Gemma Stafford on February 18, 2018 at 2:31 am

      Hi there,
yes, really you can experiment with these recipes. The banana will add two things, sweetness, depending on ripeness, and thickening.
Make and eat/drink though, do not leave it sitting around,
      Gemma 🙂

  8. Asma on January 29, 2018 at 6:53 am

GOOD! and I am really happy to have you with us in Pakistan. Thank you for your kind review of this recipe,
      Gemma 🙂

  9. Mirza on January 26, 2018 at 2:44 am

Hi…can I use dairy milk to the peanut butter milk shake??

    • Gemma Stafford on January 26, 2018 at 3:24 am

      Hi Mirza,
Yes, I do not see any reason not to!
      Gemma 🙂

  10. Kristine on January 13, 2018 at 2:17 am

Hi Gemma, can I replace the salted caramel sauce in the Banana and Caramel milkshake with dulce de leche?

    • Gemma Stafford on January 13, 2018 at 4:19 am

      Hi Kristine,
Yes, I do believe that will work for you, but you may need to thin it a little before adding it, you can use fresh milk to thin it down, or a little warm water.
Thank you for being in touch,
      Gemma 🙂

  11. SafiyaShaikhh on October 5, 2017 at 6:28 am

        • Gemma Stafford on April 28, 2018 at 4:22 pm

Vanilla extract? yes you can leave that out no problem at all.

          Best,
          Gemma.

  12. ItzMillie on August 14, 2017 at 3:27 am

    Hi Gemma

For the peanut butter milkshake would I be able to use almond butter as one of my friends is allergic to peanuts but can have almonds? 💙

    • Gemma Stafford on August 15, 2017 at 3:46 am

      Hi there,
Yes, certainly, any recipe requiring peanut butter can be changed to another nut butter. Peanuts are not really a nut! They are more related to peas and beans, but they behave in the same way, more or less!
      Have fun with this,
      Gemma 🙂

  13. FerozKhan on August 5, 2017 at 8:03 am

  14. Osama on July 26, 2017 at 12:56 am

    Hey,

They are very good recipes, but do you think if I followed the same recipe of Oreo Milkshake but instead of Oreo I put Pistachio instead, would it work? as I really want to make a pistachio milkshake and please let me know if you think I should add something else,

    Thank you so much

    • Gemma Stafford on July 26, 2017 at 4:18 am

      Hi there,
I think for this you will need to make a paste of the pistachio, and then use a few whole for the top/decoration.
you make a paste like you would a nut butter (https://www.biggerbolderbaking.com/how-to-make-homemade-peanut-butter/), add this to the blender with ice cream, milk etc and there you go!
If you try this, do let us know, and a pic would be great too. Add a touch of green coloring, for effect!
      Gemma 🙂

Hi Gemma! I tried your oreo milkshake and it was heavenly. I was wondering if I can make an oreo cheesecake milkshake with oreos and cream cheese? I can’t get strawberries and the idea sounds tasty. But of course, if you think it’d work.

    Thank you!
