Hi Bold Bakers!

Wow, do I love eating cherry pie! This dessert is a classic summertime treat filled with a sweet tangy filling, covered in a buttery sweet crust, and always served with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Who doesn’t wish you could just eat it any old day, regardless of the time of year? Well, when you all requested a Cherry Pie Milkshake for my Top 5 Milkshake Flavors, you better believe I was super excited to get in the kitchen and transform this classic dessert into a rich and decadent milkshake!

Milkshakes are as fun to make as they are to drink. The combinations of flavors and toppings are endless, like Strawberry Cheesecake or Cookies and Cream. For this Cherry Pie Milkshake, I simply blend up frozen cherries, ice cream made with my 2 Ingredient Ice Cream (you can use store bought ice cream if you’d like), and some milk. This all acts as the base for your “Cherry Pie.”

Then I pour the milkshake “filling” into a chilled glass and top it all off with a thick layer of finely crushed vanilla wafers, which forms the “crust” of the pie. I finish off the dish by garnishing my Cherry Pie Milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry on top, just as you would a slice of pie!

This fun and easy to make milkshake is for all you Cherry Pie lovers out there! I hope this flavor and presentation inspires you to get creative with your garnishes and makes you think outside of the box when creating new milkshake flavors of your own. This recipe is a great way to have some fun in the kitchen this summer, so enjoy!

Hi! Gemma, can I replace something else with vanilla ice cream? And is it fine that my frozen cherries are little sour?
