Hi Bold Bakers!

Working from home I need to get out of the house on a regular basis for a change of scenery and some sanity. My office away from my office is the little round table I occupy at Starbucks. I sit there for hours tapping away on my computer.

While I was sitting in Starbucks one day I overheard someone asking about the Starbucks Frappuccinos Secret Menu. Rather than get up and ask about it, admitting that I was listening in I just Googled it. Within seconds my eyes were opened up to a whole world I never knew about, a secret world.

Starbucks has a secret menu loaded with special creative drinks, limited edition and seasonal drinks. Whatever you want, they’ve got it! Pages upon pages of specialized drinks, hot, cold, iced, whatever whichever way you want it. The Butterbeer Frappuccino, Raspberry Milk Tea and Nutella drink aren’t even the tip of the iceberg.  You have me at Nutella drink, I’m in.

Now, of course the wheels started to turn and I began thinking how I would be able to make them. As you all know, given the opportunity I always go for something Big and Bold and let me tell you, it doesn’t get much Bolder than these flavors. Drinks like a Banana Spilt Frappuccino, an Oreo Frappuccino and a Birthday Cake Frappuccino were just a few that Starbucks have cleverly created so I put them on my hit list.

I love the idea of taking a popular dessert and reworking it into a decadent Frappuccino. And I knew I just had to recreate these secret menu Frappuccino flavors for you.

    Cheers Gemma, I just saw the Starbucks Strawberries n Cream Frappe and it just so happens that my 2 oldest Grans are visiting me, one lives here and the younger by 18 months is visiting for a month from Oregon and I just showed them this Strawberry Drink that they have both demanded I make NOW, IMEDIATLY if not sooner! So, being a wonderful Gran that I am, And berries already frozen, we were off to my Vita Mix Machine. I let them do the work themselves but I supervised. (Have to watch them with the whipped cream canister don’t ya know)? They will never out grow that! Hehe. Next was my Coffee mocha Frapacchino. I was buying a mix to make it but after now, no more mix! You just saved me nearly $18.00 for a bag of this chemical filled concauction.
    I agree with Kevin tho, I would love to have a Caramel Mocha and if he says he invented it, hey, the idea had to come from some where! Good on ya Kevin!!! Come up with more ideas please!

      I hope you survive the month long visit! that could be indeed a challenge! A word of advice, do not set the bar too high, you will be exhausted, thry will be delighted, and love you forever, but haha! not sure about you.
      Kevin got his way, and we did indeed do the caramel frappe ( not so long ago. all happy now, no more complaints for the moment 😉
      I hoe you have a lvoely time with the grandchildren, such a precious time for all of you, let us know how you survive.

    What type of blender do you use for these?

      Any type of blender you have will work. I used a kitchenAid blender.

    Hey Gemma, MAY I KNOW HOW LONG A WHIPPING CREAM CAN STAY IN FRIDGE this recipe is always helpful for me and my small sister We love all kinds of recipes you make it always has a stunning look.

      Do you mean make whipping cream? Unfortunately It is something that is usually commercially manufactured.

          Powdered sugar is the same as confectioners sugar and icing sugar 🙂

    Recipes call for creme frappacinco (like this starts the whole drink), where do I find that recipe?

      Hi Susan,
      They use a sirop for this purpose, which has a mix of chemical ingredients, and thickeners to give the ‘mouth feel’ of a creamy drink.
      I am not sure how I would replicate this. Actual cream, 1/2 and 1/2 milk and cream, vanilla powder, and perhaps a little cornflour/xanthan gum if you have it, may do it, but it is complex, science really!

    Wendy at Skinnygirl49 lookingn for the Green Tea Matcha . I have seen the green tea matcha at Trader Joes in San Antonio, Tx – But I’m sure you can find it in other states.

      I love the no bake oreo one, as it is quick to pull together and looks great too.
      The red velvet one ( is rather more complex, but spectacular for a special occasion. Lots of other cheesecakes here on my website,

      Here in California I can get it almost anywhere. amazon is a great source too. Ethnic stores often have this too, look out for it,

    to make a starbucks mocha frappuccino do i use chocolate or cocoa why did you not put coffee in the frappuccino i would like coffee in them

      Hi Dorothy,
      Use cocoa, but you need to blend it with a little hot water to dissolve it. You can do a blend of good powdered instant coffee, and cocoa too! Make these your own!
