    Hi gemma can you come up with a mug recipe forvsloppy joes. Like making bread on the bottom and sloppy Joe in the middle and and cheddar cheese on top and then bread again. And could you possible come up with a German chocolate cake in a mug. Ty Gamma I love you your recipes and videos your the best.

    Would I be able to make this in a wider dish because I’m not the biggest fan of deep dish pizza. (BTW, I’m Irish too and was wondering what part of Ireland is your favourite)

      Hi Ashley,
      Actually you could try this in a cereal bowl, the shallow ones we use in Ireland, this works well!
      I am from Wexford, and I love it there, particularly the beach areas, the Hook peninsula, Kilmore Quay etc. I suppose I am used to the sunny south east!
      Kevin and I are just flying back to LA today after a visit to family, we got reasonable weather too. It is good to have you with us,

    Hi gemma, im having A LOT of trouble finding recipes. I’ve tried like half an hour and i still can’t find it. I’m looking for the pizza mug meal recipe. I hope you make your website better so that people don’t have trouble looking for the recipe 🙂 thanks!

      I just revamped my website to make it easier! All over the mug recipes are under one button now.
      Hover over the ‘recipes’ on the top bar. The selection will come up there. Click on mug recipes, and there you are!

    Hi Gemma,

    Can we use whole wheat flour instead? If yes, will it need any recipe modification?

      Hi Jay,
      Yes you may use whole wheat flour, use the same quantity, and bake in a wide mouthed cup/mug, to allow for the distribution of the heat. It may feel a little heavy, but i think it will be good!

    Hi Gimma, I am, like so many other women, widowed, and living alone. I find it almost impossible to cook for just me after years of cooking for a big family. Your mug meals looks like just what I need. I haven’t tried any of them yet but I am making a new shopping list and then it’s a whole new way of cooking for me! Thank you so much.     I tried to make this, but the inside, the pizza base, wasn’t edible. It was like, raw, but the pasta sauce thinned out and was bubbling so much that I didn’t want to put it back in the microwave. Do you know where I made a mistake, or have any tips for me?

      Hi Anna,
      This sounds like the size and shape of the mug. you need to use a small mug, about 6 oz size, the wider it is at the mouth the better. This allows the microwave energy to distribute evenly. Better luck next time,

      Hi TimTim,
      Olive oil is traditional in Italy and the Mediterranean countries. It also has nutritional value.
      If you are going to use an alternative try to have one which has some value such as Flaxseed oil, Almond oil etc.
      Some good vegetable oils will also be ok, the purer the better,

    i love your videos of cakes and all this entire idea that have made up of doing things at home instead of buying them outside for such huge prices.
    i would like to know if it is possible to make a chicken lasagna at home within few minutes like the Microwave Mug Pizza ?

      You do need to make sure that any chicken is cooked properly, so no! I would not recommend this,

    i just started watching your recipes on youtube you actually inspired me with the delicious recipes i would like to know is there any easy method to cook lasagna ?

      Lasaga depends on slow cooking. You could add ragu to the mug pasta recipes, but it will need to be cooked in advance,

    Hi Gemma! I’m a big fan of Bigger Bolder Baking, and I just wanted to ask a quick question. I really, really liked your video on YouTube, the one about homemade cookie butters? I was wanting to make a lot of cookie butter, but all of them made with different cookies. Do you have any other suggestions for me? Thanks.

      Hi Lola,
      you can use any cookies for this recipe, so try out what you have available to you, the finer crumbed ones work best, so granola type recipes are not so suitable,

      I am a really simple cake decorator, and have shown in my videos how I do it. see the Funfetti cake as an example. Soon on Facebook I will do a video on frostings which you might like to see. I am all about ‘easy’ when it comes to decorating!

    Hi Gemma, YOU are a really great help.. I have health issues with fatty food and using cooking oil in my meal so I found your recipe very delicious and health conscious. I can also use your recipe maybe in starting a business.. Please keep doing this… You are helping a lot of people.. If I may ask, can we bake in microwave using microwavable plastic container? Thank you

      You can bake in the microwave using small microwave safe containers. Just remember that the microwave bakes in a different way to a normal electric oven, it is not so good for a big quantity at once,
