Hi Bold Bakers!
Ever wondered how to use Cookie Butter? Well if the answer is YES then you are in the right place.
I’ve made recipes for 3 different Homemade Cookie Butters: Nutter Butter, Oreo and Shortbread. Each flavor is more delicious than the next but that’s just the beginning. Below I’ll show you how to use your cookie butters to make a variety of amazing desserts.
Homemade Peanut Butter Cups
I think these Peanut Butter Cups are even better than the store bought ones. Find out how easy they are to make.
Brush a thin layer of melted chocolate in a small cupcake liner.
Once the chocolate shell has set, fill it up with your Homemade Nutter Butter Cookie Butter.
Pour more melted milk chocolate on top to seal your cup. Enjoy immediately!
- 1 cup (5oz/150g) Milk Chocolate
- 1/2 cup (4 oz/120g) Nutter Butter Cookie Butter
Melt the chocolate gently in the microwave or over a ban marie
In a small cupcake/ truffle case brush a layer of melted chocolate.
Place in the fridge to set. (If you have a mini cupcake tin place then in that so they hold their shape)
When the chocolate is set fill 3/4 of the way with your cookie butter
Pour more melted chocolate on top and spread with a spoon to the edges
Place in the fridge again to harden and then enjoy!
Homemade Oreo Truffles
No Muss, No Fuss delicious Truffles
Mix your Homemade Oreo Cookie Butter with Oreo cookie crumbs to form your Truffle mix.
Dip your Oreo Truffle into melted white chocolate, coating them all over.
Sprinkle more Oreo crumbs on top of your Truffles to give them some added pizazz.

- 1/2 cup (3oz/90g) Oreo Cookie crumbs

Take the cookie butter from the fridge 30 minutes before you want to use it

Melt the white chocolate. Once cooled dip the truffles in fulling coating them.Remove any excess chocolate dripping off
Place on the parchment paper again and sprinkle with a few cookie crumbs
Repeat with the rest of your truffles
Store in fridge for up to a week
Cookie Butter Mug Cake
This 4 ingredient Cookie Butter Mug Cake is egg free and takes less then a 1 minute to cook. Use my Shortbread Cookie Butter to make this amazingly simple single-serving treat.
- 4 tablespoons Shortbread cookie butter
- 4 tablespoons milk (I used fat free, but other versions should work)
- 4 tbsp all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
In a large, microwave-safe mug, add all ingredients in the order listed.
Mix with a small whisk until batter is smooth and no flour lumps remain.
Cook in the microwave for about 45 seconds. Check on it and cook for another 15 seconds if needed (timing based on my 1200watt microwave)
Let cake cool a few minutes before eating.
