Hi Bold Bakers!
Being prepared means you are setting yourself up for success! When you plan in advance, you allow yourself more time just in case something doesn’t go to plan (and it will). Such is life. Anywho, I have made a few lists of desserts that you can choose from for your big Thanksgiving feast that can be planned and made at different stages freeing you (and your oven) up for something else.
Check out my list below and you’ll find a dessert tested by me and perfected so you don’t have to for your Thanksgiving occasions, I know it.
My Favorite CrockPot Desserts
One fantastic way to get ahead is to mix up a dessert in a crockpot the night before, store it in the fridge overnight and cook it off the next morning. This means you as you are prepping your mashed potatoes and turkey your dessert will be cooking away by itself and also not taking up space in your oven.
- Crock Pot Pumpkin Cobbler
- Hot Fudge Brownie in a Crock-Pot
- Gingerbread Cake made in the Crock-Pot
- Crock Pot Apple and Blueberry Crisp
No-Bake Desserts For Thanksgiving
If you want to avoid anything hot at all for your dessert then there are plenty of No-Bake desserts that can be made up to 2 days in advance getting you way ahead of the game and freeing you up to baste ham and drink wine.
- No-Bake Pecan Pie Truffles
- No-Bake Raspberry Cheesecake
- Dulce de Leche Cheesecake
- No-Bake Chocolate Pie
- 15 Minute Banana Cream Pie
Pies You Can Bake In Advance
If you’re not making and prepping your pies the day before Thanksgiving, you’re not doing it right! A lot of pies are just fine the next day… but there are even some you can prep in their shells the night before as well, so all you’re doing is baking them off early the next day so your oven is free and clear for other things you need to make!
